Capacity Implements Exotrac™ Yard Management System in California

Exotrac offers a web-based Yard Management application that increases asset
visibility, monitoring, tracking and security. Exotrac has now implemented its YardTrac
Application for Capacity LLC in California.
On a busy night at Capacity LLC's Compton facility, they might unload 25 full containers - each must be logged in and out by security. They need to maintain location integrity for a pool of about 20 empty trailers, they track dock door availability, and monitor loading and unloading progress throughout the night.
Moreover they need to know, which trailer is parked at Door #7 and what is being loaded into it? Which empty containers are parked alongside the building, and where exactly are they?
Most companies keep track of their yard positions and movements using a clipboard and pen. More advanced providers might transfer the gathered
data to a spreadsheet in the warehouse office.
This, however, does not provide sufficient control as far as Capacity LLC
is concerned. Instead they use YardTrac, Exotrac's web-based
yard management system. It uses a bar code ID label, applied to each and every piece of equipment that enters their premises. Cell phones equipped with bar code scanners are used to scan the bar codes during every action that are performed on the equipments.
Exotrac, has a wide range of custom built reports for Capacity LLC that can be accessed
on-line, so that users know the exact status of their containers and outbound trailers
all in real-time.
